SAWIT KINABALU STRENGTHENS ENGAGEMENT WITH RSPO TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL FUTURE FOR SABAH
KOTA KINABALU, 22 October 2026 — Sawit Kinabalu Group (SKG) was honoured to welcome Mr. Joseph D’Cruz, Chief Executive Officer of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), during his courtesy visit to SKG Headquarters.
Mr. Joseph was received by Datuk Victor Ationg, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, accompanied by the Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer (CSSO), Mr. Nazlan Mohamad.

The engagement focused on SKG’s potential to take a leading role in advancing Sabah’s sustainable palm oil industry, leveraging its position as a Sabah Government-Linked Company (GLC) to strengthen industry collaboration, promote responsible production and, importantly, support independent smallholders in meeting international sustainability standards.
Mr. Joseph also expressed RSPO’s readiness to support SKG in strengthening sustainability disclosure, international visibility and recognition, positioning Sabah’s sustainable palm oil industry more prominently on the global stage.
Through stronger collaboration, SKG aspires to champion an inclusive, competitive and globally recognised sustainable palm oil industry for Sabah.
