Sawit Kinabalu Sdn Bhd is a premier investment arm of the State Government in the oil palm industry.
It was formed when the State Government of Sabah, in its continuing efforts to encourage the people of Sabah
to assume a more responsible role in the growth of the State, decided to corporatise the Sabah Land Development Board (SLDB).
The State Government believed that this will bring about greater efficiency and effectiveness, thereby optimising profitability and
contributing directly to the economic growth of the nation.
Sawit Kinabalu Sdn Bhd (Sawit Group) is fully owned by State Government - commonly referred to as Government Link Company (GLC).
Oil Palm is the integrated core business of the company. The processes involve of cultivating, processing, procuring and trading of oil palm products
which include Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB), Crude palm oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel (PK). Refined products are mainly export to China, India, Pakistan and European Union market.
Besides, Sawit Group also develop and market its own Palm Oil Industrial Cluster property (POIC) and integrated cattle farming in selected estates.
