KOTA KINABALU, 2 July 2026 – Sawit Kinabalu Group recently hosted a delegation from Guangxi Nanyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Tawa Trading Ltd. (Hong Kong), and Nanyi International (Hong Kong) at its headquarters. The meeting centred on a proposal to establish the Malaysia AI Token Factory & Innovation Centre.

The meeting was led by Datuk Victor Ationg, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sawit Kinabalu, together with Mr. Nazlan Mohamad, Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer, Mdm. Judith Ignatius Otau, General Manager of SK SIP, and Mdm. Hajah Tati Ismail, General Manager of Corporate Planning Unit

As part of the initiative, the delegation outlined plans for a 100-megawatt (MW) AI Token Factory at the SK SIP in Sandakan. This high-performance computing hub will specialise in AI model training, inference, data processing, and tokenised computing transactions.

The session facilitated a dynamic exchange on technological trends and the power of strategic partnerships to boost industrial innovation and advance Sabah’s digital economy. Additionally, both parties explored how artificial intelligence could optimise operational efficiency and spark innovation within the palm oil and agricultural sectors.

This courtesy visit opened doors for future collaboration to reflect a mutual commitment to sustainable economic growth through technology adoption. Sawit Kinabalu Group expressed strong interest in these innovative ideas, reaffirming its dedication to pursue initiatives that align with its corporate strategy.
