With an extensive genetic base and advance breeding materials from Sabah Breeding Program and Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Sawit Kinabalu able to maintain continuous progress and distribute high quality products to customers. The parental palms of Dura and Pisifera that are used in the seed production are from the selected palms which certified with SIRIM standard, MS 157:2017. The selection process of the parental palms for seed production undergoes strict selection criteria based on the phenotypic characters which consist of yield performance, bunch characteristics and vegetative traits on their progeny testing and Individual palms results. Research and Development on the oil palm breeding program at Sawit Kinabalu Seeds Sdn. Bhd. (SKSSB) has been conducted for more than two decades. The facilities for seed processing of SKSSB are located at Apas Balung Tawau, Sabah, Malaysia which is capable of producing 10 million D x P (Dura x Pisifera) hybrid seeds in a year.
